Many popular internet radios use the pioneer.vtuner.com web management portal to manually add custom radio station URLs. This is an easy method to add Calm Radio's custom HD sound-quality commercial-free URLs into vTuner's MY ADDED STATIONS menu, which will then synchronize and automatically show up on your radio.

Setup Instructions

Step 1

  1. First, visit the My Account menu on the CalmRadio.com website.
  2. Choose "My Internet Radio URLs" from the bottom of the page. 
  3. Select "View Full Table."
  4. Choose either "Direct Links" (preferred) or "With Port 80" Authentication URL Type 2.
  5. Download or email the URLs you will need to enter into the MY ADDED STATIONS menu of your pioneer.vtuner.com account.

Step 2

  1. Next, you need to register for an account at vTuner.com. Your device may use it’s own proprietary vTuner website, for example... pioneer.vtuner.com. Please check your device’s user manual for the exact web address. You can also visit CalmRadio’s “Internet Radios” menu on our website for more details.
  2. You will need to add to the vTuner website either your device’s MAC address, or a registration code. Please check your internet radio's user manual.

Step 3

  1. On the vTuner website, look for the "My Added Stations" menu.
  2. Click "Add Another Station" to create a new station entry.

Step 4

  1. In Box 1, Add a Station Name like "CALM RADIO - Solo Piano"
  2. In Box 2, carefully copy any Calm Radio custom URLs you downloaded or had emailed into Box 2. Choose any High Medium or Low URL. When copying, be careful not to add any blank spaces at the beginning or end of the URL.
  3. In Box 3 add Canada for the Location
  4. In Box 4 add the genre, i.e...Classical, New Age, Atmosphere, Relaxation...
  5. Next line should be MP3
  6. Click the arrow to accept your entry

Step 5

  1. On your device, select or press the "Network" menu Then select or press the Internet Radio menu PLEASE NOTE: If the Internet Radio menu is already playing, hit the "Back" button
  2. Select the Added Stations menu. Your new Calm Radio channel will show up there.

Setting Up your Onkyo to play Calm Radio channels

A - Calm radio from a browser or mobile app using bluetooth (any Onkyo Device)

  1. We highly recommend using the Bluetooth function on the Onkyo to play Calm Radio from any computer, or one of our free mobile apps.
  2. Bluetooth is very easy to set up. Here are typical Onkyo bluetooth instructions (see page 22) http://filedepot.onkyousa.com/Files/own_manuals/TX-8160_En_A_web.pdf

1 - Getting Your Onkyo IP Address

  1. On the Onkyo, press the Setup button
  2. Use the direction (/) buttons to select "6. Network"
  3. Press the "Enter" button
  4. Use the Up / Down arrows to display "IP Address"
  5. Please write down the IP Address exactly as shown

2 - Downloading URLs from the My Account menu

  1. Visit the My Account menu here https://calmradio.com/myaccount
  2. Download a set of "Direct" URLs for Onkyo
  3. Open this text file and keep handy on your computer

3 - Adding URLs to Your Onkyo

  1. Open your computer browser
  2. Enter the IP Address you wrote down earlier into the address bar of your computer browser and hit Enter
  3. You should now see the Onkyo Web Setup Screen
  4. Select the Star icon
  5. Enter the channel name you prefer ...for example CALM RADIO - SOLO PIANO
  6. Find the Calm Radio URL text file you downloaded earlier and look for example the SOLO PIANO channel
  7. Select the complate URL starting with http:// (make sure there are no blank spaces at the beginning or end of the YRL string)
  8. Copy the selected URL string
  9. Paste the URL into the Web Setup entry you have started
  10. Select "Save" to complete the entry

4 - Playing Your New Calm Radio Channel

  1. Press the Net button on your Onkyo
  2. Use the Up / Down arrows to select "My Favorites"and press "Enter"
  3. Use the Up / Down or < / > arrows to find your new Calm Radio channel in the My Favorites and press "Enter" to play

C - Onkyo devices using vtuner.com

NAD

NAD internet radios use the nadelectronics.vtuner.com web management portal to manually add Calm Radio’s custom radio station URLs. This is how you can add our Calm Radio's custom HD sound-quality member URLs to show up on your radio’s INTERNET RADIO menu, which will then synchronize automatically with your nadelectronics.vtuner.com account.

Setup Instructions

Step 1

  1. First, please visit the My Account menu on the CalmRadio.com website.
  2. Choose "My Internet Radio URLs" option from the side left menu.
  3. Select View Full Table.
  4. Choose either Port 80 URLs (preferred) or Direct URLs and look for your Internet Radio's brand name
  5. Download or email the URLs you will need to enter into the MY ADDED STATIONS menu of your nadelectronics.vtuner.com account.

  1. Next, you need to register for an account at nadelectronics.vtuner.com
  2. You will need to add your custom Calm Radio URLs to the nadelectronics.vtuner.com website either your device’s MAC address, or a registration code. Please check your internet radio's user manual.

  1. On the vTuner website, look for the "My Added Stations" menu.
  2. Click "Add Another Station" to create a new station entry.

Step 4

  1. In Box 1, Add a Station Name like "CALM RADIO - Solo Piano"
  2. In Box 2, carefully copy any Calm Radio custom URLs you downloaded or had emailed into Box 2. You can use a High Medium or Low URL. High will require excellent high-speed internet bandwidth.
  3. In Box 3 add Canada for the Location
  4. In Box 4 add the genre, i.e...Classical, New Age, Atmosphere, Relaxation...
  5. Next line should be MP3
  6. Click the arrow to accept your entry

  1. On your internet radio, select or press the "Network" menu Then select or press the Internet Radio menu PLEASE NOTE: If the Internet Radio menu is already playing, hit the "Back" button
  2. Select the Added Stations menu. Your new Calm Radio channel will show up there.

This is an easy method to add Calm Radio's custom HD sound-quality commercial-free URLs into the smartradio.frontier-nuvola.net MY ADDED STATIONS menu, which will then synchronize and automatically show up on your radio.

Setup Instructions

Here is how to add our custom Calm Radio member URLs to calmradio.com on your Magnum Dynalab device:

Step 1

  1. Visit smartradio.frontier-nuvola.net and register for a free account by selecting "Manage Favorites" > "Sign Up." If you already have an account, simply log in
  2. Connect your device by selecting "Connect New Device"
  3. Under "Share Favorites" select "Yes"

Step 2

  1. Log into calmradio.com
  2. Click your profile picture
  3. Click "My Account"
  4. Scroll down to "Internet Radio URL's"
  5. Click "View Full Table"
  6. Look for "URL Downloads - Direct Links"
  7. Click the green circle beside "Authentication URL Type 2" (see below)

Step 3

  1. Open the list of channels that you've just downloaded and search for a Calm Radio channels you wish to add to your radio (e.g. "Harp")
  2. Select your desired audio quality and carefully copy the associated URL (make sure it begins with "http" and ends with "==")

Step 4

  1. Back at the smartradio.frontier-nuvola.net website, select "Favorites" > "Personal Streams" > "+ Personal Stream"
  2. Fill in the Station Title (e.g. Calm Radio - Harp) and carefully paste the URL that you've copied from your channel list into the "URL" field. (Remember to copy and paste the entire URL from "http" to "=="
  3. Press "Save Personal Stream"
  4. You will now be able to access the channels you've programmed on your internet radio. The channels are typically located in the "Internet Radio" > " My Added Stations" menu.
